jsm's 'BANG' song video demo preview using the best ever Quake1 engine

The final product will be hosted on Fileplanet when it is done, in full DVD Video Movie quality for FREE! yipee. I still want to apply some video effects, as well as editing the audio more dynamically, so as to add to the impact of the video. I will be sooo glad to put this little baby to rest, but as you can allready see, its been well worth it!

a Death-Match Multi-Media Video Presentation using the Quake1 engine graphics to create an intense video for an angry, aggressive, un-compramising song track...

Time out to do the Quake Video

Well, I have decided to put the music production on hold till I can get the Video to BANG finnished, as its gonna take quite a bit of part-time number crunching. And as its so far at 12mins long, 30fps 800x600, you can imagine the gigabytes are just piling up... (about 50gig so faaar)

So please dont be surprised to see too many changes here for a while, as i have given myself the rest of this year to complete the video, and after that, its back to normal. I will mirror the file on Fileplanet for everyone to download when its done, so watch this space...

All updates will be placed here on this feedback page.

Finally, I intend getting bigger web-space at the end of the year so as to post more audio so keep a look out and I'll see you all soon. Byeee!!!

shhh, Some old Quakers have seen the work so far, and to be blunt they were blown away. And that was without the audio attatched so Im pretty darned chuffed...

Quake1 DemFiles Song Video - its 'ALL GO' yipeee!

My oh my, so many years after I first started this venture, and it now looks like its only a stones throw away. The final of my many Quake1 3rd party Utilities obtained and installed, enabling the in-game demo files, to be ripped to Avi format, ready for the Adobe Premiere spit n shine...

While I went thru my early days of quake1 deathmatch online, as a semi-pro musician, I decided to construct a song specifically written for the Death-Match gaming environment, simply called 'Bang'
Song Demo ...

Anyway, I decided very early on, to make my own video to the song using the games engine, and over the years, as I aquired the knowledge, hardware, and software, am finally able to take the final steps.

It wasnt until recently i managed to get the final bits n pieces needed to complete this little project of mine. And I am now hoping that within the next year or two, i will have finally completed the video presentation, to run alongside my existing song called ''BANG''
Wow! now that really would make my day!

This has been an on-going project of mine for years and years (my baby) and will eventually reach its destination, audibly, and visually, no matter how much pain and sweat it takes.(I wish eh!)
The first track 'BANG 2K' is now nearing its completion (already 6 mins long)and finally has the sound and vibe I have been after for a while...(real real angry track)
'RIPPER' still needs some work done though, of which I cannot do as it needs a bandish kind of input, in a big ballsy kind of way. (lincoln park, limp biscuit, that kind of thing...)
For more details regarding the songs themselves, head on over to the music menu, where you will find 'BANG2K' under the latest catalogue, and 'RIPPER' under the older catalogue.
(nb 'Bang 1999' is actually version 1.00 of 'BANG 2k', and will also be included on the 12inch Ep. The current version of 'Ripper' is also version 1.00)
When I eventually decide to commit these songs to a label, and my finances suffice, I will be generating the video's for these tracks myself using the 'Quake 1' engine, as this is really the only one that has the feel I am after, don't yet know if 'Id Software' will let me. (I'm pretty sure they'll let me as they are all on the 'Quake 3' engine now.)
(( I'm a good beggar Mr. John [GOD] Carmack, and I make a fine cup of tea as-well. ))

About three years ago I lost a lot of video work generated from Quake demo's (using Keygrip, lmpc, film at 11, etc...) and it quite literally broke my heart (aaah!). Anyway, one day, circumstances permitting, I'll get there... (more info on my 'Quake page' under the 'Games' menu above)

I hope to submit the 12inch Ep for release, to all local A+R and Record Labels but don't hold yer breath. LoL. (also, particular contacts will recieve a demo for assesment prior to general promotion, due to interest shown by themselves in the past.)
